A new moth species, Neopalpa donaldtrumpi, has just been named after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, The Washington Post reports. The moth, which lives in Southern California and Mexico, was until recently thought to belong to another, related species. Yellowish-white scales atop the new moth’s head resemble Trump’s unforgettable blond hairdo. The intent was good-natured: The researcher wrote in this month’s issue of ZooKeys that he hopes it brings attention to the need to protect the country’s fragile habitats.
