A pack of geckos is floating in space, lost. Held in a Russian satellite known as Photon-M, the lizards were going to be used in weightlessness experiments until mission control lost contact with the probe. Researchers expect the four females and one male will die within 2.5 months unless communication is reestablished, The Guardian reports. The satellite was launched last week after weeks of delay due to electrical testing.
