Metal band Motörhead can actually make your brain bleed

The heavy metal band Motörhead just amped up its reputation for being hardcore: Not only can their music melt your face, but rocking out to their 200-beat-per-minute songs can also make your brain bleed. After headbanging at a Motörhead concert last year, a 50-year-old man developed a chronic subdural hematoma, or blood clot, which surgeons had to remove through a burr hole in his skull, researchers report online today in The Lancet. Whiplash, artery dissection, and even neck fractures have been linked to headbanging before, they say, but this is the first reported brain hemorrhage.
