Royal Children's Tomb Unearthed

The mummified remains of at least eight princesses and four princes have been uncovered in Egypt’s Valley of the Kings. University of Basel Egyptologists have been digging at the site that’s close to the ancient city of Thebes since 2011, assuming it was a nonroyal tomb, but recent access to five subterranean chambers has proved different. Inscribed pottery near the remains reveals the mummies date back to 14th century B.C.E. and are family members of the pharaohs Thutmose IV and Amenhotep III, National Geographic reports.
