Out of Ideas? A Walk Might Help

A simple stroll can boost creativity, The Huffington Post reports. Stanford University researchers gauged the creative thinking of participants placed in different conditions: walking on a treadmill and sitting indoors, and walking and being pushed on a wheelchair outdoors. They found that no matter where walking took place, creative output increased an average of 60%, according to results published online this month in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition.
