'Get Over It,' NASA Chief Tells Critics

For anyone who would rather have NASA jetting off to Mars than capturing an asteroid, Charles Bolden has three words: “Get over it.” At this week’s Humans to Mars Summit in Washington, D.C., the NASA chief defended the space agency’s plan to first travel to an asteroid before embarking on a mission to the Red Planet, NBC News reports. Although Bolden thinks a voyage to Mars is important, he says that snaring a near-Earth asteroid is a prerequisite to any voyage farther out in our solar system.
