A Bee-pocalypse in Europe

The United States isn’t the only country where honey bees are dying at astonishing rates. This month, the European Commission reported that in the winter of 2012 to 2013, Belgium’s colony mortality rate was 33.6%, while the United Kingdom’s was 28.8%. Scientists still aren’t sure what’s killing the bees, but they think the unusually long and harsh winter Europe experienced played a role, Quartz reports.
