A new way of manipulating video footage has captured mesmerizing images of starlings in flight. The technique highlights the movement of birds by allowing viewers to witness them in their current position in midair and, at the same time, in locations they were in seconds before. According to Wired, the process has generated the interest of flocking experts and may be able to help scientists learn more about how and why birds fly as they do.
