A year after the recession forced many universities to halt construction projects, Yale University is now thinking about whether its endowment has recovered enough for the school to resume building new science facilities.

After an unusual meeting this evening in London, members of the Royal Institution have voted to retain its current governing council, defeating a motion from those concerned about the body's financial crisis and the council's recent dismissal of controversial Director Susan Greenfield. According to the Royal Institution, 81% of members voted to support the current council.

The independent review of the affair of the stolen e-mails at the University of East Anglia will release its report on Wednesday.
