National Academy Announces New Members

The U.S. National Academy of Sciences announced today that it has added 72 members to its exclusive ranks, bringing total membership to 1949 scientists. In addition, the academy named 18 scientists to the ranks of their nonvoting foreign associates, bringing that number to 351.
