OriGene has developed a sensitive anti-CD163 mouse monoclonal antibody (clone OTI2G12), which has been cited in many research papers for the detection of macrophages. CD163 is a scavenger receptor in macrophages that has been reported to play a role in innate immunity and inflammation regulation. This receptor binds to bacterial or viral pathogens and helps macrophage clearance. It can also serve as a marker for M2 macrophages. This antibody has been validated via Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence. Sample sizes and carrier-free options are available.
