Previously some clinical tissue samples were easier to analyze by nucleic acid sequencing than others. Now both fresh-frozen and formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue samples—even those of a smaller size and partially degraded—can be used in next-generation sequencing (NGS) library prep.
