Cerebral Vasculature of Conjoined Twins

This interactive tool helped surgeons evaluate the chances of successfully separating a set of conjoined twins. Medical illustrator Travis Vermilye and his colleagues used volumetric magnetic resonance imaging scans of each twin to construct a three dimensional view of their shared blood vessels, and computed tomography scans to create skeletal and soft facial tissue animations.
