Register Free for Special Influenza Portal

In the 21 April 2006 issue, Science explores the social and scientific challenges of influenza, and the outlook for antivirals, vaccines, and our understanding of flu biology in the face of a possible future pandemic. For our registered users and individual AAAS members, we've prepared a special online portal to the issue and accompanying resources. Included in the portal:

  • A complete guide and free access to the 21 April 2006 special issue, including articles on antivirals and vaccines, flu transmission, flu biology, and flu preparation -- along with an accompanying podcast.
  • A collection of recent Science News, Review, Perspective, and Research articles on influenza, the potential for a new pandemic, and the secrets of the influenza virus -- all free through this portal to registered users and members.
  • A unique perspective on the 1918 pandemic as seen through the eyes of contemporaries, via three articles from the Science Classic archive -- free through this portal to registered users and members.

To enter this special portal, log in (if necessary) and follow the links at right. If you're not yet registered, please take a moment to fill out a free registration with the site, to gain access to these special features.
