Xbox Inventor Restores Famed Physicist’s Van

The inventor of the Xbox video game system, Seamus Blackley, has restored the family van once owned by Richard Feynman, the Nobel Prize-winning, bongo-playing, safe-cracking theoretical physicist and cultural icon who died in 1988. A classic car buff, Blackley went so far as to restore with accurate sloppiness the Feynman diagrams—odd squiggles that serve as a tool to simplify calculations in so-called quantum field theory—that Feynman had painted on the vehicle. This story could be better only if Sheldon Cooper, the awkward physicist in the nerdy television show The Big Bang Theory, were reading it aloud.
