What Sleeping Positions Reveal About Relationships

Are you a snuggler or do you like your own space when it comes to sleeping? Researchers from the University of Hertfordshire who surveyed 1000 couples have found that the positions couples assume while snoozing reveal a lot about their relationship. For instance, the farther apart a couple sleeps in bed, the worse off their relationship is, the group reported this week at a science festival in Edinburgh. And 86% of partners who sleep less than 2.5 centimeters apart report being happy with their relationship, whereas only 66% of couples who sleep more than 76 centimeters apart are happy. Physical contact is also important, Time reports. Ninety-four percent of partners who spend the night in contact are content, whereas only 68% of those that don’t touch are happy with their romantic ties.
