A new device can read to people with vision loss. Dubbed the FingerReader, users simply place the gadget on their index finger and point and trace the lines below text, The Washington Post reports. All the while, a small camera scans the words and reads them aloud in real time. If the wearer strays from the line of text, or needs to move to the next one, the gizmo alerts them with audio cues and a vibrating motor.
