Watch: Are Bananas Going Extinct?

A fungus called Fusarium oxysporum is threatening the world's banana supply. In Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, the pesticide-resistant strain is slowly killing the variety of the fruit known as the Cavendish, which is commonly found in grocery stores across the globe. Now, researchers believe the fungus may have spread into Latin America, Discovery News reports, where 80% of the world's banana supply comes from.
