Two New Vegetarian Dinos Unearthed

Two plant-eating sauropods, dinosaurs with long necks and tails, have been discovered in Latin countries, Discovery News reports. One, named Zby atlanticus, was found in Portugal and lived some 150 million years ago; it’s described in the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology. The other, detailed in PLOS ONE, is called Leinkupal laticauda and lived an estimated 100 million to 145 million years ago in what’s now Argentina. Scientists are still trying to learn how large L. laticauda grew, but Z. atlanticus stretched more than 18 meters from head to tail.
