Rhino rescue under way

Kruger National Park in South Africa is moving at least 500 rhinos that are threatened by poachers to safety. The park is home to about half of South Africa’s estimated 21,000 rhinos, and 408 have already been killed there this year, mostly by poachers from Mozambique. Some 250 rhinos will be moved away from the border forests where poachers can easily hide, according to National Geographic. Additional rhinos will be sent to Botswana and Zambia, as well as to other private game parks in South Africa that offer tighter security.
