Psychologists who studied people at a vulnerable point in their relationship have found that God can stand in for an intimate partner when times are tough, the Pacific Standard reports. The findings, published online this week in Social Psychological and Personality Science, suggest that for those who are religious, belief in God can help those faced with rejection.
