Astronomers have spotted something in the giant lake on Titan, Saturn’s moon, and they aren’t sure what it is. Captured in a single photo taken by NASA’s probe Cassini, the mysterious object looks like little more than a bright white blob, The Guardian reports. Because it’s not seen in any other snapshots, researchers have taken to calling it the “magic island,” but a letter published this week in Nature Geoscience gives a much simpler explanation: It was a wave rushing across the lake or bubbles rising to its surface.
