Giant Poster Absorbs Pollution

A gigantic 10-by-20-meter poster is sucking up air pollution in the United Kingdom. Created by University of Sheffield researchers, the material includes microscopic titanium dioxide nanoparticles that can absorb about 20 cars worth of nitrogen oxide pollution a day, BBC reports. In this case, a poem called In Praise of Air appears on the poster, but the researchers envision billboards and advertisements containing the same compound along congested roads around the world to curb smog.
