Tightest knot ever made earns Guinness World Record

The tightest knot ever tied wasn’t made with shoelaces or string. Instead, scientists braided molecules together and snugged them down with iron. The knot, which researchers described earlier this year in Science, has now set a Guinness World Record. The 192-atom loop crosses eight times and is the most complex woven molecule ever made, Chemistry World reports.
