Kepler space telescope reveals 20 hidden alien worlds with potential to host life

Are we alone? A new analysis of data from the Kepler space telescope finds 20 exoplanets that may have the capacity to support life, New Scientist reports. Several life-hosting candidates orbit stars like our sun and the most promising planet potentials are similar in size and year length to Earth, scientists unveiled this month on arXiv. As to whether we’re alone, the researchers say they are 70% to 80% confident these newly revealed planets are life-sustaining contenders, but more observations are needed to confirm the Kepler findings.
