On International Women’s Day, Google celebrates pioneering women in science and other fields

Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, and Ada Lovelace, widely credited as the first computer programmer, are featured today on Google’s homepage doodle commemorating International Women’s Day. The slideshow doodle showcases 13 pioneering women in areas ranging from art to aviation, Wired writes.
