You Can Bend This Glass, but You Can't Break It

Glass that bends but doesn’t break has been created by researchers at McGill University. The trick is a series of engraved microcracks, which allow the glass to deform on impact and increases its toughness 200 times, according to a study in Nature Communications. The technology could find applications everywhere from the kitchen to car windshields.
