What Would Happen if an Astronaut Fell Into a Black Hole?

Should you ever fall into a black hole, science has a decent idea of what might happen to you. Video simulations published in National Geographic depict three possible outcomes: incineration, “spaghettification” (that is, being stretched thin like spaghetti), or being chewed up and spit back out as radiation. As to whether any of these would be painful, well, you’re just going to have to ask the astronaut.
