Want to Save Water? Become Vegetarian

To reduce Europe’s water footprint, residents may want to stop eating meat. A study released last month by the European Commission concludes that people who switch to a vegetarian diet could substantially reduce water consumption by 27% to 41% in European countries. The study shows that vegetarians consume goods that are produced with much less water than the goods of other diets.
