Penguins Prescribed Antidepressants

Penguins at the United Kingdom’s Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuary have been down in the dumps lately on account of miserable weather—they aren’t used to the relentless wind and rain. So scientists there have given them antidepressants, The Guardian reports. It’s not just about making the birds happier—depression can lead to serious symptoms by lowering the penguins’ immune systems, but so far, the medication has been successful.
