In response to a letter from Harvard University reporting that an investigation by the university had found Marc Hauser "solely responsible" for "eight instances of scientific misconduct.", Hauser issued comments on Friday acknowledging "some significant mistakes." In his statement, Hauser did not admit wrongdoing but said, "I am deeply sorry for the problems this case has caused to my students, my colleagues, and my university." Hauser indicated that he plans to return to teaching and research. He is currently on leave from Harvard.
