Each week, hundreds of used needles litter this dirt lot in Lang Son, Vietnam. We visited the field with a group of peer educators who routinely clean the lot and distribute vouchers that can be exchanged at pharmacies for clean needles. This log serves as a safe repository for the needles until the cleaning crew arrives. The lot is directly across the street from a nursery school. |
