This 21-year-old woman, a former sex worker, lived with her pimp's brother when an outreach worker at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) 3 years ago referred her to their clinic in Hlaing Thayar. They sent her to Yangon General Hospital, where the doctors diagnosed both pulmonary TB and HIV infection. Her pimp's brother refused to let her move back in, and MSF has helped care for her ever since.
