The 200-kilometer-long Hubbard Glacier, Alaska, terminates in Disenchantment Fjord, Gulf of Alaska. Recession and thinning of glaciers, bordering the Gulf of Alaska, in Alaska and British Columbia have made a larger contribution to the rise of sea level in the last century than that of the polar ice sheets or the glaciers in other areas on earth.
