Raghu et al. in their article have raised apprehensions that non-native species should be used as sources of biofuel with utmost precaution while taking into consideration their invasiveness. Thus, it will not be a bad idea if one uses native species for the same purpose. The reasons are many as, they will not alter the ecosystem, they are well adapted to their native climate, and local people will not hesitate to plant them on their field, which is very important for any government policy. |
