Creationists, Intelligent Design, gag-orders for scientists—it fits the pattern.

Nature does not need humans—humans need nature. And destroying nature will cost us dearly. Fiddling with the environment will not only affect the United States. The outrage, once disaster strikes, will be far beyond what some political cartoon has triggered.

But by the time outrage takes hold, most likely it will be too late to help ourselves.

Please, continue to raise your voice against the ignorance of the zealots and the people around them who prefer short-term profit over long-term survival.
