Herring and Nuts for the 'Salmon People'

New excavations reported at the Society for American Archaeology meeting reveal that the ancient inhabitants of the northwest coast of North America--known as the "salmon people"--were surprisingly dependent on plant foods and other kinds of seafood in addition to salmon.
