A Growing Threat Down on the Farm

Farmers have become dependent on a herbicide called glyphosate and on crops engineered to resist it. Now, weeds are becoming resistant, and researchers are scrambling for alternatives. Crops engineered to resist dicamba, described in a report on page 1185 of this issue of Science, may offer one such alternative.
