WASHINGTON, D.C.--Last week, the X Prize Foundation announced it would pay $10 million to the first privately financed group to sequence 100 human genomes in 10 days. The winner will get another $1 million to decode the genomes of 100 additional people selected by the foundation. (Read more.)
