HIV/AIDS:
Gates Foundation Doubles Support for AIDS Vaccine Research

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation announced grants this week that will more than double its already substantial investment in AIDS vaccine research and development. The $287 million commitment is the largest nongovernmental contribution ever made to this struggling field. (Read more.)
