Hot Times for the Cretaceous Oceans

LOUIS, MISSOURI--Ancient evidence from the sea floor suggests that the ocean surface some 90 million years ago was hotter than the water in a hot tub--and that climate modelers are underestimating the link between carbon dioxide and warming--researchers reported at the AAAS annual meeting, held here from 16 to 20 February.
