PROTEOMICS:
New Database to Track Protein Locations

Proteomics researchers in Sweden plan to release a database next week containing hundreds of thousands of images of where different proteins are located in human cells and tissues. The database, dubbed the Protein Atlas, is intended to help biochemists identify the function of newly discovered proteins.
