RHIC Gets Nod Over JLab in Worst-Case DOE Scenario

If the Department of Energy's budget doesn't improve and a major facility must be closed, a panel of nuclear physicists last week indicated a "slight preference" for the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider at Brookhaven National Laboratory over the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility.
