House Approves 0.5% Raise for NIH, Comments on Database

A House panel this week approved a 0.5% increase in the 2006 budget for the National Institutes of Health (NIH). House lawmakers also declined to support a scientific society in its dispute with NIH over the agency's new chemicals database.
