Avian Flu Finds New Mammal Hosts

A paper published online by Science this week (www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/abstract/1102287) confirms that the avian influenza strain, H5N1, can infect cats, and that felines can transmit the virus to other cats as well--and perhaps to humans.
