Beyond Nature and Nurture

Gene E. Robinson

The debate still rages over the influence of nature versus nurture on animal and human behavior. In his Perspective, Robinson describes how to finally move past this dichotomy. Increasing knowledge about gene expression and behavior reveals that DNA is both inherited and environmentally responsive.
