ITER Tops DOE's List of Next Big Science Projects

The $5 billion International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) topped a list of 28 major new research facilities that the Department of Energy hopes to complete over the next 20 years, ahead of projects ranging from a biomolecules factory to a high-energy particle smasher.
