Warming Indian Ocean Wringing Moisture From the Sahel

In a paper published online by Science this week (www.sciencemag.org/cgi/content/abstract/1089357), climate dynamicists report results from the first climate model to simulate accurately the history of Sahel rainfall, indicating that the culprit in drought years is the warming Indian ocean.
