FUNCTIONAL GENOMICS:
Pathogen Researchers Get Help From TIGR

Last week The Institute for Genomic Research announced that it has signed a 5-year, $25 million contract with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases to help scientists expose the inner workings of at least 10 human pathogens whose genomes have been sequenced. The new Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center will exploit the growing sequence archive by centralizing some toolmaking and training activities.
