MARINE CONSERVATION:
Reserves Found to Aid Fisheries

On page 1920, an international team of marine scientists reports marked increases in commercial catches and the number of trophy fish caught by sport anglers in and around small reserves in the Caribbean and off Florida. The authors say the results confirm the validity of their models and, more importantly, lend credence to global efforts to establish new reserves.
